jacob, lindsay. wynn’s birth. march 2022

lindsay & jacob:

“Liam was such a gift for us during the birth of our son! We immediately vibed with their energy, values, and approach…

…to birth and education, and knew as soon as we met her that we wanted Liam on our birth team as both doula and photographer. From the beginning, her communication was excellent, and we felt totally taken care of throughout our experience. Liam is incredibly knowledgeable, and amazing at reading the room: knowing when to take charge, and when to provide support through space. I was shocked at the (beautiful!) photos she captured of our birth, as I don’t remember the camera in the room; just their gentle + constant presence. Truly can’t say enough about collaborating with Liam; worth EVERY penny of the investment in their services, and we wouldn’t hesitate to work with Liam in the future!

cass, aria, wilder’s birth may 2022

cassidy (& aria):

“Initially, naive, with no idea what a doula did, I remember feeling like I was all the support Aria needed and I felt like having another person would take away from our intimate setting we were aiming for.

When Aria and I found out we were having a baby, our dear friends who had a baby just before us recommended that we hire Liam. Five minutes into our consultation with Liam we knew we wanted to hire them. It was so important for us to put our trust in someone felt safe and comfortable with, who not only supports but understands us as a lesbian couple. Liam was all of the above. Hiring Liam as our doula was one of the best decisions we made during our entire pregnancy/birth. When Wilder’s journey earthside did not go according to plan, having Liam here brought us comfort and a sense of safety. Their calming presence by our side for the entire almost 4 day labor made every difference. Liam was our voice when we were too exhausted to advocate for ourselves and Aria’s encouragement when she felt like she couldn’t go any longer. They were my support as I tried my best to provide constant support for Aria and quite literally held our hands as we navigated through scary health issues and decisions, reassuring us the whole way. Not only did Liam provide so much support emotionally, physically, and informationally during Wilder’s birth but they captured the entire journey on camera. Their artistic skill behind the lens turned a birth we initially thought was traumatic and scary into photos and videos that portrayed beauty. In a way, seeing our birth photos a few days after Wilder was born was so healing for us to see the best parts of the entire journey and made us realize that despite the bumps in the road along the way, Wilder’s journey was perfect. When I say we might not have made it through the experience the way we did without them. I mean that more than I can put into text. Liam was everything we hoped for as a support person, doula, photographer, and friend.”

jennifer & matt:

“Her photography captured the sweet, everyday moments that we’ll want to remember years from now.

It’s our pleasure to highly recommend Liam. We hired them for pregnancy portraits and childbirth classes. Throughout our time working together, Liam paid attention to the things we were most concerned about as first-time parents. Her photography captured the sweet, everyday moments that we’ll want to remember years from now. The childbirth classes covered all the basics, but they also made sure we dug a little deeper into topics that we had more questions about. Overall, we are extremely happy with our experience with Liam, and feel more confident about the upcoming birth of our child. We finally (!) got a chance to sit down together and look at the portraits from Sunday. They are stunning. We love them so much. Thank you for capturing so much sweetness in just a regular sunday morning. I’m so glad we’ll have this record of our lives from a really special time. We’ll get to look back at these and see/remember what life was actually like at 30 weeks.”

“Liam is literally the reason why I felt so at ease giving birth during this stupid COVID time.

They are so supportive and have all the resources, helping me and Alec make informed decisions and honoring all of feelings and desires for birth and postpartum along the way. I am so grateful. It was a game changer to hire Liam for our birth and I’m so glad we did!”

katilyn, her birth, september 2020

kaitlyn & kody:

“I believe life truly has a way of working itself out.

We met Liam only a couple of weeks before we delivered our son, Maddox and we can’t imagine not having Liam be a part of our day. Our friend and old doula, Sara, was supposed to be my doula, but she had her daughter only 9 weeks before I delivered Maddox. So she turned me over to meet Liam hoping it would be a good match for us. And it was! I came into it with an open mind but a part of me was originally really sad that Sara wasn’t going to be apart of our day because we had grown a close bond with her over my pregnancy. She started off as my prenatal yoga instructor, then my doula, and now a good mama friend of mine, too.

In the end, I am truly so grateful that she had her daughter so close to Maddox because it led Kody and I straight to Liam. Exactly where we were meant to be no matter how short our time frame was. She was truly incredible. Very medically inclined, extremely helpful with any questions or concerns my husband and I had. And she was absolutely fantastic to have in the delivery room! We couldn’t have asked for a better doula to help us through our experience. She knew all the right positions, the best things to say to keep you focused, and she had THE best hands for the right spots when I would have a deep contraction!

Kody and I both genuinely wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to be a part of our experience. We had a slow start to my early labor so we got to know each other really well and I’m so grateful that we did because we really got to know each other, making our experience together even more special! I remember waking up the next morning with our newborn little boy, and my husband and I were in awe with how positive our experience was. We both said we truly couldn’t have don’t it without her. (Nor would we have wanted to!) We are so grateful to Liam! Love, The Quinn’s.”
